Mission

Our Purpose

MSUA was founded in 1996 for the purpose of promoting the study, knowledge transfter, understanding of the rules and mechanics of Little League baseball and softball, for its members throughout the State of Maryland and the Little League East Region.

Our Vision

Our vision is to offer the highest qualified Little League officials in the State of Maryland and when called upon to the Little League East Region.  By carrying out this vision at every level of our membership, we will strive to recruit and maintain qualified and dedicated umpires that foster a passion and respect for the game; thus serving Little League families across our region with the most qualified officials and resulting in value for all.

Our Mission

The Maryland State Umpires Association's (MSUA) mission is to recruit, train, improve, promote, and unify baseball and softball Umpires across Maryland.

We strive to safeguard the integrity of the game and promote sportsmanship by way of training and instruction of MSUA members and by maintaining a high standard of officiating.

MSUA is committed to providing local leagues throughout Maryland and the Little League East Region with qualified, dedicated, trained and dependable umpires. We pride ourselves on a membership that is highly experienced with the rules of baseball, proficient at all levels of play, and committed to professionalism and integrity both on and off the field.

MSUA is committed to maintaining a proper forum for the purpose of open exchanges of ideas among the members of this organization.
